Fees are payable in full on the day at the end of the consultation.
As an Endorsed Midwife, you are given the opportunity to claim medicare rebates for lactation/midwifery services. To be eligible for Midwifery Services you need a referral letter from your GP or obstetrician. A letter is not required if you are seeking one off Lactation services only, however Midwifery care attracts a Medicare rebate (eligible up to 6 weeks and 6 days postnatal). You will be provided with a receipt for services that you can then take to Medicare or your private health fund to claim rebates. Not all private health funds cover lactation and midwifery services, check with your fund if relevant to you.
Adelaide Lactation Consultants & Midwifery accept cash or bank transfer. However, with our online booking system, you can pay for your consultation in full at the time of booking, or simply pay the required 50% deposit with the balance due at the end of the consultation.

It would be expected an initial breastfeeding consult would take 1.5 hours and follow up appointments only 1 hour. Times in excess of this will incur a additional fee of $50/30mins.

Individual antenatal education can also be provided in collaboration with your obstetrician or birthing hospital. Please enquire about fee schedule.

In the event you need to change or cancel your booking, our cancellation policy is as follows:
if a booking is cancelled more than 48 hours prior to the scheduled time, there is no charge payable by you.
if a booking is cancelled less than 48 hours prior to the scheduled time, 50% of the consultation fee is payable at time of cancellation.
If given appropriate notice, We are more than happy to reschedule. We will only reschedule appointments once at no cost to you. If you have rescheduled once already and you cancel the second time, this is considered a cancellation and fees will apply at the time of cancellation.
Reversal of monies paid will incur a 3% administration fee (regardless of reasons for cancellation).
We reserve the right to use our discretion depending on circumstances. If an appointment is cancelled at the last minute, this can be difficult to fill for another client who we may of already turned away.
